POD is a 3D form that contains the factors of one number. It shows, on different planes, alternative ways to arrive at the same conclusion. One direction is multiplication, the opposite direction is division. Your student(s) could use THE POD; however, if you have a complete set, it could be more confusing than the traditional methods. It is a great way of showing the concept of multiplication and division.
